ECOTRIM Pre-finished

At the forefront of technological innovation, SPP is proud to introduce ECOTRIM pre-finished mouldings.

Produced from finger-jointed New Zealand Radiata Pine, ECOTRIM  offers a superior finish using dual coats of Gesso which are sanded between coats and finished with a final coat of acrylic primer.

ECOTRIM is a superior range of quality pre-finished mouldings that come ready to install with a quality surface prepared for finishing.

SPP ECOTRIM Mouldings … part of every home.

ECOTRIM Pre-Finished mouldings must be stored in a dry environment, protected from moisture, direct sunlight and excessive heat. Store on flat surface 150mm above the ground, supported every meter along the length of the product.

In addition, mouldings, sarking and flooring profiles should be acclimatised to their surrounding environment for at least 48 hours prior to installation.

ECOTRIM Pre-Finished mouldings can be nailed, glued or installed using a combination of both nails and adhesives.

  • Nailing: 40 – 50mm finishing brads are recommended. Ensure fixing is to a minimum depth of 25mm into the framing timber.
  • Adhesives: Mouldings can be glued using most commercial brands of adhesives.

All joints should be mitre cut and glued during installation. For best results, we recommend mouldings are installed using a combination of nailing and gluing.

ECOTRIM Glue Compatibility

  • Apply a 5mm wavy bead of Nailbond® Fast to one surface and bring both substrates together immediately. Nail using 40 – 50mm finishing brads at approx. 400/500mm centres.
  • A firm slip-resistant bond will develop after 15 to 60 minutes with a full-strength bond achieved after 24 hours depending on conditions.
