Performance
Eco.Edge MDF mouldings are intended for use in situations where they will not be
exposed to water or to prolonged high humidity such as shower cabinets and saunas.
It is also recommended that they should not be used for exterior applications.
Storage
Store away from moisture, heat and direct sunlight.
Fixing
Standard fixing techniques can be used, with the following hints ensuring the best
result:
Nailing
When nailing, 40mm to 50mm finishing brads are recommended. Ensure fixing is to
a minimum depth of 25mm into the framing timber. If it is necessary to nail through
the side rather than the face, this should be done at 25mm from the edge or corner
of the moulding.
Stapling
When stapling, it is important to regulate the air pressure to avoid excessive penetration
of the staple. Narrow crown staples are recommended when fixing the mouldings. Best
results are obtained with the use of Sencoted N4450 staples. Staple length should
be about twice the thickness of the moulding being fixed.
Adhesives
Eco.Edge MDF mouldings can be glued using most of the commercial brands of adhesives
available. Use adhesives in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions.
